Hey guys , does your credit card get hit automatically or when it ships?

My wife approved me getting the 64g wifi-3g version :)

My situation is a litle bit weird. My credit card got charged immediately after the final click and the invoice was sent to my email. However, after a few days (whilst the iPad had not been shipped), the whole amount ($928 AUD) went back to my account?! I called them, and they said due to the low availability of stock, they just gave me back my money and will charge it again when they start to ship the item.

Usually, they run an authorization to confirm the the amount is available on your card. The authorization drops off until the item ships then it's billed.

Yep, they just want to make sure the money is available on the credit or debit card when the item ships. Most online stores do not charge your credit card until the item ships.:)
