Hello there, I am a new member from Puerto Rico. Most of you already know that Apple doesn't have an Apple Store in PR nor ship their products even though we have the same postal services. I can buy it here at Best Buy or at an authorized mac dealer but they do not bring the i7. My question is, can I buy it @ apple.com with the Apple Care and ship it to my sister that lives in the USA? I know that there might be problems with the billing address being different than the shipping one, but I'm hoping that someone has done something similar before. Thanks in advance :(

I have ordered accessories from apple.com for my dad, shipping and billing address in two different states without any problems, but never a computer, it should be ok as long as her name is on the order as well.

Yes. This shouldn't matter. I've ordered stuff for my brother and sister and had it shipped elsewhere. You should be fine.

I am calling them tomorrow just be 100% sure, thanks for the replies!

Yep, believe their policy page even states that exact solution for PR and other territory/protectorates, have it shipped to friend or family in the States.

I realize this thread is dead but I have a similar issue. We are starting a small bussiness and we need computers for graphic design, animation and music production. But the i7 imac and 12 core mac pro aren't sold in Puerto Rico. I can't trust a family member I see once every couple of years with such a big investment. Is there an online reseller that will ship to PR. I already checked out MacMall but they wont.

Try to find a friend or family member who is in a state that doesn't have a sales tax. That alone will save you what it would cost to ship to PR.
