Looks like fun, and if you register before October 14th, it's only $625 to attend!

Wait, wtf? $625? Okay, I've never gone to a developer conference before, but is this the usual price to attend one? The conference sounds great, and I bet I would learn a lot, but ouch.. that's a chunk of change. It's only one day, but hey, they serve a continental breakfast and lunch. :p

that's pretty pricey for a one-day conference.

From reading what the guest speakers will be talking about, it seems more like a meet & greet and iPhone marketing, rather than technical sessions.

but i'll wait and see what others think.

That's actually not a bad price for a one-day dev conference. You must not get out much.

I'm going, if only for the chance to schmooze with other developers and see what transpires. The actual content is only a small part of the equation.

Yeah, you're right, I don't! This is the kind of feedback I was hoping for. Being a newbie, I have no idea if that's what these things cost, and if they're worth it in terms of industry insights, networking, education, etc. If this is "how it's done" in the industry, I'll happily fork over the cash and check it out.

I think it would be a great opportunity for those looking for a job. Id dish it out for the fun of the conference and to network around trying to get hired.
