So, my Photo App is full of thousands of images. I have created various albums and I want to sort the images into the albums. The issue that I'm having is that if I drag an image into an album, that image does not vanish from the main roll. I get it that main roll holds all of the images, but this means that I have no way of knowing which images have been dragged and sorted and which ones have not unless I drag the image and it does not get added to the album. With thousands of images to sort, this is not a good method since I just end up in a trial and error situation.

It would be nice if I could have a folder with all of the unsorted images in one place and then use that folder to drag the images into an album so that when it gets dragged it gets moved to the album and is no longer visible in the folder. Is this possible?

Thank you!

Create a smart album with the selection criteria as Album is not Any. That will show all photos that are not in an album.
Thanks for that one. Finally managed to painlessly clean out images I had no use for.
