i have recently switched and i'm enjoying my journey but am finding problems when for instance i want to organize my documents folder into the types of document it is not alphabetical which it loves doing for me. please help .

If you're sorting by "kind" (which you should be for "types" of documents), it should be alphabetical under the sorted kinds. Don't forget to take into account any non-alphanumeric characters that you have starting the file name will sort differently, e.g., a filename starting with a space will sort at the beginning of the list.

how do i change it from kind if i go through mac hd on desk top

Not sure I understand your question.. I'm wondering if you're viewing with column view, rather then by list. If you're sorting by list, then you click on the word "Kind" at the top of the column. That will sort by kind. Unfortunately, you have to do this for every window you want to view this way.

mine looks like this how do i chang it to your type

Press the button at the top of the toolbar that looks like 3 horizontal lines.. or select "As List" from the View Pull-down menu.. or press Command(Apple)-2.
