i switched to the 7+ from the 6s and notice the home screen orrientates to both rotations. Is it possible to turn this off with out turning on orientation lock which is global. I just want to disable home screen rotation because I still want the rotation inside apps where it's useful.

other than zoom view, this has been the way all plus phones have worked on the home screen since the 6 PLUS, there is not way to just lock the home screen orientation.
[doublepost=1475423115][/doublepost]however with zoom on, landscape on the 7+ acts like a 7 (or any Plus vs non-plus). When set to standard the landscape on the PLUS acts more like an iPad. This difference can be easily seen in apps like messages and mail.

I did notice that, but it only happened on my 7+, never happened before and hasn't happened in a wile now. May have been a software issue that was fixed in 10.0.2

It happens while you're swiping between app pages. Pretty annoying because I have to unlock the orientation lock for it to flip back.

I gotta be honest, the lack of this feature is what has kept me from even considering the plus. It's a total deal-breaker.

I still think it's a bit too big for me, but i never even got to the point of trying to figure that out one way or the other.

I really thought they'd have make an option for it after a year. I can't be the only one.
