Original Airport in AlBook?

This is going to sound like a really weird question..

Anyway, I have a 15" PowerBook, newest rev, with an installed AirPort extreme card.

I'm wondering, however, if plugging my original AirPort card from my iBook in my PowerBook's PC card slot will work. I'm interested in this because unlike the PowerBook's AirPort extreme card, I can plug an antenna into my old airport card...

Anyway, I'm guessing this won't work, but if anyone has any idea...

I don't think the connector inside the slot is the same as the connector on the airport card.

Yeah, it actually is. It fits fine, I just can't seem to get it to DO anything.. That's my issue.
