I live in Belgium and I imported an original iPhone (2G) just a few months after they were released in the US.

Up until now, it has been working very well - with the necessary unlocking and jailbreaking done, mind you.

Now I can't get any service from my provider anymore and the connection status bars are always empty, rendering my iPhone quite useless as I can't call or text anymore.

I run the 2.0 software and performed an unlock and a jailbreak with PwnageTool on a Mac (OS X 10.4 + iTunes 7.7)

After it started behaving like that, I tried another unlock + jailbreak, but to no avail. The phone still won't let me call or text.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

And how do I revirginize it?

I already performed a full restore by putting it in recovery mode etc ... unless you mean something else?
