I have an original 8GB iPhone. I upgraded to 3.0 when it was first released and haven't done much since. I was wondering if the latest version is jailbreakable? I've not paid too much attention. I've been happy mostly with 3.0, but the free WiFi at my work is a pain in the but. It requires a login. On 1.0 and 2.0 it worked great, but ever since I upgraded to 3.0, it's terrible. It used to show three bars, but now only shows one. I have to login three times to get it work. Anyone think an upgrade will help?
My battery is two plus years old and it's probably time for a upgrade. If I hardly use it, it need to charge the next day. I've seen some places on the internet that offer battery replacement. Anyone ever use them or have any opinions about their quality?
Secondly, would I have to re-do my phone, all the apps and stuff, if I get the battery replaced? If so I may wait until the battery replaced as I don't want to have to do it twice.
Lastly, is there anyway to get T-Mobile broadband on my phone at a reasonable price? I wouldn't really use it much so I'm not really willing to pay a lot for it, but was curious to know. Thanks for any help.
