Has anyone tried iOS 14 on the original iPhone SE (2016)? Is picture in picture working (I’m curious due to the small screen size)? What features have been excluded, if any, from the original SE?

I guess the PiP mode should work fine with the original iPhone SE. As for others features that have been excluded, I have found that the back tap feature does not work with devices before iPhone X

I have an extra SE that I installed the beta on, but it’s so hard to use (because of the small screen, plus the fact that it’s bent and the screen randomly freaks out.) that I haven’t really tried all the iOS 14 features on it.

See if you can try PiP if you can. I’m curious.

if your referring to the iPhone SE (square design), then yes. PIP is available. The initial size take up a large amount of real estate, but it can be pinch to zoom (in or out).

Not sure what you mean by square design. I am referring to the original 2016 iPhone SE. Are you assuming this is the case, or do you have a 2016 SE running iOS 14? I would like input from someone running iOS 14 on a 2016 iPhone SE that they have in hand.

UPDATE: never mind, I found a video on YouTube

Sorry. Square being the body design. The iPhone 5S. Not the curved body since iPhone 6.

Yep. It’s so small that it’s not really that useful at the default size, but it works!

Nice. I imagine I would use it most with videos pushed to the side completely with only the > showing to listen to the audio in the background. I wonder if YouTube will allow this or if it will be a paid subscription-only feature.
