Hi longtime reader, but first post.

I have iPhone 3G and original iPhone. Original iphone is being used with no service just on wifi as a ipod touch. Wifi is working fine on Powerbook and iPhone 3G, but all of a sudden after 1+ year it is no longer working at all. It doesn't even see my home network when right next to router. I have seen other posts of same problem over past month on apple.com and there are no answers and I hadn't seen issues posted here yet. Has anyone had to deal with this issue? Anyway to fix it?

Thanks!

I have experienced the same problem very recently (could it be to do with the latest update).

My (original) iPhone worked fine on a number of reliable WiFi networks until the last couple of days. I installed the latest 2.2 update last week and I think it has been working since - but can't say for sure. However in the last couple of days I have noticed that I can only see WiFi networks intermittently, not long enough to transfer data, then it goes back to using EDGE. I was assuming this to be a hardware problem (resetting network settings doesn't help).

Anyone else experienced this?

Jim
