Original (Snow Leopard) spaces

Hi, just got a new mac today. Mission Control is ok, but i really really miss the old spaces - is there any third programs that is a valid alterantive? Totalspaces seems is an option..

Any suggestion - i really just want something simple and similar looking to old leopard spaces..

There are various steps

• Open System Preferences.
  
• Once you have opened it you will see a tab call 'Personal'.
  
• After you have clicked on that button a screen will come up like this.
  
• Fool around with the arrows until you have it like you want it
  
• You can use the arrow keys to change spaces or the number keys.
  
• Before you change all of this make sure the box is checked for enable

As far as I can tell, the only difference is that Spaces are no longer in a grid, but just in one horizontal plane.
You now just create new Desktops, and you can assign apps to them, if you want.

I can't follow these instructions. Did you miss a step? Which System Preference pane is this in? Not Mission Control, that's for sure.

You are absolutely correct, the thing i am missing is the grid - i used to use spaces if i needed a fast and quick overview of all i have open. I know it is kind of similar, but it is not the same for me.
