Hi guys, since I updated my OS to 10.10.3 on my 2009 Mac Pro, the Mac seems to have gone crazy! It's constantly making that sound as though it's doing some type of hardcore processing or something!

Has anyone else had or heard of anything similar?

I've shut down and restarted several times, left the computer alone for a couple of days, but every time I turn it on the same thing happens!

Hi mate, thanks for the reply.

No not the fans. It's that clicking noise as though the hard drive or something is carrying out some sort of action. The sound you get on start up.

I've reset the SMC and still no luck.

Then open /Applications/Utilities/Activity Viewer.app and see what process doesn't like the new update and unistall/update that service.

Do you mean Activity Monitor?

And how would I know which process doesn't like the update?

Because it is eating up your processor cycles!

Embarrassingly I don't know how or what to check to see which one is eating it up! What column/figures should I look out for? CPU Time? CPU %? Energy? Disk?
