After upgrading to OSX 10.5.5 Server, we have experienced the following problems. Any known work-arounds?
1. Printing from InDesign CS3 on a Mac via OSX 10.5.5 Server results in a print out of about 200% enlargement.
2. Printing from any and all applications on a Windows system via OSX 10.5.5 Server ignores tray selection and double sided settings. Probably ignores any other printer preference requests. Prior to OSX 10.5.5, this only affected MS Office products.
3. Printing from InDesign CS3 on a Windows system via OSX 10.5.5 Server has both issues (1) and (2).
We have been able to confirm that Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9 on a Mac works fine. We have not tested the rest of the CS3 suite, but other people's experience indicates the rest of the CS3 suite is affected.
The following discussions are currently going on trying to solve the Mac-side of this issue, but none refer to the SAMBA Server + CUPS issue when printing from Windows:
