OS 8.1 1400c to OS X MB File transfer?

i have explored options given the hardware limitations of the 1400 and have tentatively concluded that an online site that rents space for file storage is the answer to my problems… some have free trial periods that will allow the size transfer i would need (<2 gigs)… if i had access to an FTP site that would be good but i don't know of any…

any comments? any better ideas?
 
Does the 1400 have an ethernet cable? Just do an ethernet transfer. Connect the two computers with a cable and then open up the network folder in the Computer and login. Should work pretty easily.
