os 9.2 filesharing on b&w g3's

i have 20 computers that attempt to mount a volume as guest. around 10 do so, the rest get ..."accepting no more connections.

is the limitation connections per se or connections per user?

can i get around this? thanks

That is the limit of personal filesharing in Mac OS 9.2. Max of 10 connections (so, not per user if I recall correctly)

Only getting AppleShare IP (FileServer (and more) software for Mac OS 9) can help you there. Maybe someone selling this cheap?
