OS help with mini HD upgrade

I just upgraded my HD on a mini. But with no OS on new HD I can't boot up. What to do? Tried to push Snow leopard disk into slot but no show. only ? on screen, Help!

Hook up the old one as external, boot from that disk, clone to your new one using CCC or super duper. Should have cloned it before you swapped. Otherwise start the mini up with the OS disk already in the mini. Should boot from the disk.

You need to boot your mini from the Snow Leopard disc by holding down the C key while the mini starts up. Once booted from the Snow Leopard disc, from the Utilities menu choose Disk Utility, once Disk Utility launches follow the instructions in this post for formatting your new hard drive. Once the formatting is complete you can quit Disk Utility which will then take you back to the Snow Leopard installer and you should be able to install Snow Leopard on your newly formatted hard drive.
