I tried that but i just cant find the combination to highlight the install buttonHi,
see if this can help : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/how-to-install-os-x-without-mouse.1877784/
---> Use the Tab key to highlight the button you need to "click", then press the Space bar.
I can navigate with tab till this point!!when i arrive here can only select the drive!!The Tab key should allow you to highlight "Back" or "Install".
Works for me (just tested).
Well i dont know if this is the causeUnless the "click" doesn't work because you have a problem with a stuck key on the keyboard.
Doing that it doesnt select the buttonSelect the drive, press the Space bar, select the button, press the Space bar.
Any other ideias please i tried a lot and i am pretty desperate right now!!Well have a problema with trackpad and mouse the left click simply doesnt work at all tried everything!! So i formated and want to install the OS When i arrive at the point on the image i need to know how to install with only the keyboard
I dont think its the case!! If that was like that i couldnt navigate on the os and before i formatted i used the os for two days without the left click !!! At that time i would use the alt key 5 times to alternate between keyboard and mouseI still suspect you have a stuck key on your keyboard
I agree completely, I also don't think it's the case. But, it may be the keyboard.I dont think its the case!! ...
Well yeah i tried again, with Yosemite and Mavericks installers!! I also tried a USB keyboard!! But its still the same!! I'm getting pretty frustatedI agree completely, I also don't think it's the case. But, it may be the keyboard.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist... Anyway, You have to try the keyboard tips again. Do them as they were presented by bruno09. There's no reason those keyboard hints should not work, assuming the keyboard is working properly.
And, you could always connect a USB keyboard, and try again from a keyboard that you are sure is working.
That being said, I did try it. I booted to a El Cap USB installer, and got all the way to selecting the drive. But, could not go beyond that point. I tried lots of different keys and key combinations. Tried this several times, and can't install from the keyboard.
@Bruno09 - the Space, then tab to highlight, then space: nothing at all happens, the Install button never highlights. Nothing happens, and the install doesn't magically start - unless I use a mouse to click on the Install button. I can't do it from the keyboard - frustrating!
Perhaps it is a bug in the ElCap installer (?)
