from FW 800 external disk.
Having made a bootable copy to my external I wanted to test it. It took forever to load and run.
Why? Even with it not being an internal drive it should have gone faster than that!

Are you saying its slow booting up from your firewire drive?

How slow? The bandwidth of firewire is much smaller then the SATA controller that disks use so it will be slower.

Yes the external FW800 disk. I was checking it out in case my internal drive gets corrupted.
I thought that FW800 was the next fastest after Thunder...(?)
