OS & System updates missing...

Go to the App Store & there are no OS or System level updates.
Open Updates pane in System Preferences & there is an OS & System level update...

Anyone have any clues?
Running 10.14 & will update now that I have accidentally discovered that one is available...

System updates are now a separated thing. It's working as intended.

It's like having the fuel warning light for your car in the trunk while the rest of the warning lights are on the dash.

It’s the right intention. Updates in the Mac Store should represent app updates and not system updates. Same with iOS and tvOS.

This is how all of Apple’s other OSes work, and it’s actually how OS X used to work too.
