Can we limit these sort of threads to 10.x.y releases rather than having threads for every beta?

I mean, OS X is not like iOS where there's going to be significant differences between betas.

The current version of OS X server is not compatible with beta 4.... (it will not launch) It says check with the app store for the current version, and the version there is the same one that is not compatible with beta 4.

Only issue I've found with PB4 is that the App Store still says I need to restart to install it... AFTER I've already installed it.

there ARE sometimes significant differences between betas. but really, if the subject doesn't interest you, why not just skip the thread?
Hey, chill.
I'm just suggesting there aren't that many differences and the list is short enough to be combined into one thread.
I never said I'm not interested in this subject (I'm using the betas); just would rather the thread be combined (and even sticky-ed!) since they are so short.

OS X is just a larger system with more surface to explore.
Compared to iOS, one often have to look deeper to find changes & improvements in each beta.

There's something different about the way either iOS 9.3 b4 or OS X 10.11.4b4 identifies the other devices for AirDrop. When I AirDrop a file between my iPhone and my Mac, I used to see the user's photo and their name... now I see the generic "person" icon and the device (rMBP or iPhone 6S). Not sure which has changed/caused this... maybe both.

It does not affect the functionality of the AirDrop service, but it is an cosmetic annoyance, and it changed with the beta 4 release of one or both OSes.

(also posted this in the iOS 9.3 beta 4 bugs, fixes and changes thread)

So how is beta 4 running for everyone? I haven't had a chance to install it until today. Contemplating throwing it on my MBP or waiting for the official release. Still on 10.11.2.

Beta 5 was released yesterday, and it's solid from my POV. I have been running 10.11.4 on my MBA (test machine) since beta 1... seriously considering upgrading my rMBP (daily driver).

Haven't seen that.

On beta 4, i was getting a ton of "draft" emails showing up in my Mail drafts folder. It was not unusual to see 5-10 created with the same time stamp... all of them with no "to" addressee and with no content in either subject line of email body.

Haven't seen it (yet) in beta 5.

that same 'email draft' issue happened to me several times, but not recently. will see if it crops up in PB5. the Calendar thing continues to happen...

The worst part about 10.11.4 so far is that I use it at home—but then I go to work and have to use 10.11.3. I really didn't think 10.11.4 did anything for me, but it actually has squashed several annoying little bugs and offered a little pick-me-up to the system.

Any chance beta 4 has fixed the "disk eject" error message problem. Seems to be a problem after a Mac goes to sleep. I'm still getting one of these errors daily.
