OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) ...

Hi,

I currently have OS X 10.6.8 which, following the latest ‘software update’, I can assume has everything it needs - so is up to date.

However, I would like to upgrade to 10.8 but, this being France, the download is not available in the French App Store. I have been informed (by the system) that it is available in the US App Store and ‘would you like to connect to the US Store?’

Naturally, yes please.

But even with the US store now displaying, there’s still no sign of OS X 10.8.

So, if anyone knows of any reputable online stores where I can purchase and download Mountain Lion, then please do not hesitate to leave a message below.

OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is no longer easily available, since OS X 10.9 Mavericks is the current version.
OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is available here though.

So, without wanting to sound like a total idiot, I will need Mountain Lion before I take the next step to Mavericks? (despite it being free)

You only need 10.6.8 as stated here.
