OS X and Programming in C

I posted some time ago that I would like to learn Cocoa, I bought two books of Amazon and Downloaded the Obj-C notes from apple but all three state "We assume that you already know C" Now I bought a book called "Learn C Programming for the Macintosh" my question is should I use the Dev tools from apple to try things out when I am going through the book or will I need to get a program like codeworrior.....

Apple's dev tools will fully compile and run standard C programs, since they use gcc as a compiler.

As long as you read through the included documentation on using the developer tools, you should be fine.

ugh! books. here si a way to get one-to-one advice on cocoa.

send an email to cocoa-feedback@apple.com saying that there is a feature of cocoa missing. something liket his:

i have found that cocoa has <insert feature name> missing from it. If it is not there, please add it. If it is, could you please alert me to it and how to use it. Thankyou.

then you get one-to-one advice on how to use a cocoa function. Careful though, the questions need to be serious so that they dont think your trying to get free help, i.e. "cocoa does not seem to have classes ..." will get you busted - "cocoa does not seem to have advanced window manipulation ..." will get an answer.
