OS X cannot start after partitioning disk,and Bootcamping

I just installed bootcamp,and the drivers from the apple cd,it went smoothly
it was installed on a new 20GB partition
I use Windows XP,and OS X 10.5.7

Now,after the windows was installed,i restarted my mac,holded option,and chose the OS X partition...
there was the apple logo,than a blue screen,and it stayed that way...
blue screen was changed by a bluish-gray screen every 25 seconds or so,but that was short,and it got back to the normal blue screen...
that went on for some time,and i had to hold the off button for 5 seconds to turn it off...
i tried starting os x from safe mode,it took longer to start,but it still wouldn't work
I used the "Bootable Utilites" disk,and opened Disk Utility,and Disk Warrior,checked the disk,they didnt find any errors...

I have the same problem. Sort of.

I successfully installed Vista on another drive completely removed from the Leopard installation but the problem now is that I cannot get the option of OS while holding down Option upon boot. If I do attempt it, the black screen stays in perpetuity. I tried setting the OS boot sequence but Vista doesn't even recognize that there is in fact another OS. Actually, it doesn't even see my other drives (4 drive Mac Pro).

Any insights?

Did you try going to control panel,and chosing OS X for the startup
Control Panel > Boot Camp > Startup Disk

I'm not sure if that is how it goes in Vista,but that is how you can choose the startup disk in XP

I don't even have that option. Vista also no longer has Boot.ini and uses a different system which I'm kind of lost in. Should have threw on XP instead.

If you're on a mac pro, you could just pop out the Vista HDD for the time being and try to see if there is even an OS X partition left.
