Has anyone tried the PikerAlpha EFIs on anything but older Mac Pro desktops?

I successfully imaged a solid state HDD and installed it into a last-version Black Macbook (Core 2 Duo)

It boots up incredibly fast and gets me to the login prompt, but I have no mouse or keyboard. Plugging in a USB mouse or keyboard does nothing.

Any hints are welcomed. Figured I'm missing a driver or something? I have full mouse and keyboard in the installer.

You might TRY adding in the Extensions for your Keyboard, Mouse, etc.. from the latest version of OS X that is supported on that model.

You might try one of those websites that specialize in helping others install OS X onto non-apple devices. I don't know if I am allowed to post the links to them, but Google can help you find Tony Mac, or hackintosh, or insanely mac. I know yours is an actual mac, but the people there are likely the ones that can point you in the right directions as to the drivers that your will need, and probably need to rebuild your kext cache afterwards...

As far as I know from different places in this forum the user MacVidCards has several posts mentioning USB not working in any unsupported Mac, besides the MP 1.1/2.1.
:(
I also have myself a black MB 4.1 and using MacPostFactor 1.0.1 (to be found in OSX Hackers.net and mentioned in other threads in this forum), the newest OSX I could install in my MB 4.1 was Mavericks!

I then followed (as good as I could) the long, long list of steps included in the other tool made by the same developers called Extractor 1.3.1...and almost broke the MB 4.1 which began to reboot wildly by itself.

And that was just trying Yosemite and not El Capitan!

The developers of those tools announced they were working in a coming version 2 of MacPostFactor and I will try that MCPF 2.0 the day it becomes available, which nobody still knows.

This thread can help you a bit, but yeah, no USB support for now :(: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/os-x-el-capitan-on-unsupported-macs.1889851/

thanks guys! I might just put a Linux distro on it since it'll only be useful for web surfing anyway
