Hello,

in os x server 5.0.4 - in section "file sharing" i have activated "Create personal folder when users connect on IOS" and in the shared folders i have activated "Access: iOS".

in iOS 9.0.2 i added a new OS X Server Account with Contact, Calendars and File Sharing activated.

Contacts and Calendars are working.

I tried to add a new Pages Document on iOS 9.0.2 and after Clicking "+" i selected "OS X Server".
My Account is shown.
If i click to this account i got following error:

"Error:
Can not connect to server. Retry" <- Translated from German

I dont know where the problem is......
I tried this again with another OS X Server account and with Numbers..... without success.....

I worked via Internet and VPN - The Server is in another house......

Please help !

Thank you and have a nice day !

I found the answer on Apples - Homepage:

File Sharing.
Between Mac, iPad, iPhone, and PC.
It’s now easier than ever to share folders, exchange files, and access documents on a Mac, iPad, iPhone, or PC. iOS 9 users can securely store and access documents from OS X Server on your local private network. OS X Server supports SMB3 — the new superfast protocol for sharing files in OS X Server — which helps protect against tampering and eavesdropping by encrypting and signing data “in flight.” OS X Server supports both UNIX permissions and access control lists, so you have more control over who shares what. With file-sharing connection monitoring, you can see who’s accessing your server, who’s connected, and for how long. And intelligent Spotlight searching helps users find content on the server quickly and easily.

Hi,

funny thing that I experienced is, that it works for the Microsoft Office Apps (tested Word, Excel), but it does´t work with Apples own Pages, Numbers and Keynote o_O
When trying to access the iOS Share with Numbers etc. I am told to enable iCloud for the apps - changing the setting for iCloud usage for the apps does´t help though. And I want to use my OS X Server NOT iCloud.
Any thoughts?

On my Mac I can't get FaceBook, Flickr, or Twitter to show up on the sharing menu. On the Internet Accounts screen in preferences it will not let me select the check box for adding it to the sharing menu. Each of these apps is the same way. Will not accept the check mark.. Any thoughts???
