OS X Lion Gold Master HELP?

I have downloaded the GM version of Lion it is a zip archive 3.48GB
I downloaded this onto my iPod touch, HOWEVER when I try to unzip it says the zip isn't recognized as a zip archive. Can anyone shed some light on how to open it? If so please help me :( my email/iMessage is chekz0414@me.com Thank you everyone~ :D
 
You do know, that OS X Lion is for Macs, don't you?
Is your iPod jailbroken?
Why don't you try a real Mac to unzip the file, which might probably fake anyway?

No jailbreak, iOS app from the AppStore Filer
It supports rar and the Lion Server GM unzipped fine
 
Ignoring the obvious question about why you downloaded it onto your touch instead of your Mac, why not just transfer the zip file to your mac and unzip it on there?

Ah thanks for that tip! >:D I'll try and get back to you, I just assumed iOS device would have opened it no problem considering the server opened fine from the zip, :3 and the iCloud beta 3 for Lion.
 
this is the dumbest thread i read in a while lmao, why didnt u download it on your mac instead of your ipod touch :confused:
 
To summarize:

Hi everybody! I illegally downloaded a copy of a developer preview onto my iPod for some reason. I'm trying to unzip it ON MY IPOD. But it won't work... isn't that weird?

The thread is not as daft as it sounds.

I remember using a first generation iPod as an external firewire drive to install something on my powerbook a while back :)

Those iPods could easily be used in disk mode. They were pretty much made to allow you to carry around files without any third-party trickery.

Hell, I actually installed Jaguar onto my 3rd-gen iPod and BOOTED from it.

Ah, those were the days.

Agreed. I can't believe I actually took the time to read this thread and now I am replying to it. 3 minutes of my life I will never get back. Seriously dude, you DL Lion to your iPod touch. :eek:
