Have anyone tested Mac OS X Mountain Lion and it's AirPlay Mirroring capabilities? It all sounds so good on paper but things that seems almost good to be true normally proves to be just that, impossible.
Reason why I'm asking is because I got this Mac Mini under my television which I run for HTPC purposes, mostly 1080P MKV videos and series, you know for playing all that content the Apple TV normally can't play and all that. But I would much rather sell the Mac Mini and get a Apple TV instead as it's smaller, doesn't have this annoying fan kicking in every now and then and it draws far less power.
All this relay on this one little snitch though.. That AirPlay Mirroring actually do work and will provide good quality. Would I be able to use my MacBook Pro from the sofa, fire up Movist and play my 1080P videos on my HDTV using AirPlay Mirroring and get about the same quality as when playing it directly from my Mac Mini today?
Have any of you tested this?
