OS X not detecting iPhone using Netatalk

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum.

I'm trying to get into the file system of my iphone. I have a iphone 3g with 2.2.1 firmware. I jailbroke it and installed Netatalk from Cydia.

I SHOULD be able to see my iPhone in "finder" under "shared" but for some reason it's not detecting my phone.

itunes detects my phone fine, and so does everything else.

Has anyone ran into this issue yet?

If I were you I would dl the SSH off Cydia and then dl something such as BossPrefs to make sure SSH is turned on.

Then on your mac download a program called Cyberduck and then New Connection and enter the ip address of your iPhone and as the username enter root and as the password enter alpine as described here:

Will that work with 2.2.1 firmware?

The link you provided is referring to firmware ver 1.1.4

Yes. I have 2.2.1 Jailbroken and it worked for me.

Did you reboot after installing Netatalk?
