Hello,
Posted a while ago regarding DNS setup and got some really helpful responses so I thought I'd try again.

I'm trying to set our Mac Mini Server up to store e-mails for one of our mailboxes. I'd like users to be able to access it via IMAP. We're currently recieving the e-mails through a POP account hosted by our domain hosts.

I cannot seem to find any information on HOW to set the mail server up properly. I'm not even sure if what I'm asking is possible.

So to reiterate - I'm trying to take e-mails from a POP3 account and use my mac mini server to store them and enable access via IMAP.

Any help mucho appreciated.

Regards
Sam

On my machine (not running server, but 10.6) I use fetchmail to collect from various sources (yahoo, hotmail, campus, etc...) and have it delivered to my local account (I believe you can also forward to a different server). As long as you have an IMAP email server running on your server this is very easy to set up.

Just check out fetchmail

Not trying to be condescending...

Are you running the default mail server on SL Server, or did you install your own?

Are you able to send emails from your server?
