OS X Tiger, MB Pro 2.16 GHz

Is anyone else experiencing this problem - I don't believe I received any replies.

When I open preferences, then click "Security", Preferences crashes. There is no way around it. I am running 10.4.8 Tiger.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to reinstall OS X? It's propably just a glitch in some system file, impossible to say which...

I had the problem once on my c2d mpb, together with a few other unreliable apps. When I noticed several applications were acting up I just did a reboot and that helped. (with the handy sleep function I guess most of us go weeks or more without a reboot)

try repairing disk permissions....This is done in disk utility.
