I have a MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013 and the wifi speeds are atrocious. The connection is anywhere from 5 to 15Mb/s when it should be a constant 22Mb/s as it was on mavericks. Anyone having similar issues or know how to fix this? Thanks! I am using the GM Candidate 1.

a Wifi speed of 22Mbps wasn't so good also with Mavericks, even if you have a Router with a Wifi 802.11g 54Mbps

there is something wrong with your Router setup, not with Yosemite

be shure to use Wpa or Wpa2 security with Aes encryption and change Wifi channel to any better performing one

My speeds have been the same, but did a DNS server change, and also did a WiFi channel change as well. You may just for the heck of it, give it a try.

Does the same thing with my hotspot and other wifi sources speeds are all over the place with me being the only one testing them. Yosemite has most certainly done something.

Yosemite has done nothing to mine so it must be something else. Have you tried a couple of the WiFi/DNS server fixes that were mention ?

Tried that also tried a clean install. Then just went back to Mavericks and the wifi issue is fixed. So please tell me how it isn't yosemite. Lol. Not getting on you but something off is happening to my wifi capabilities when upgrading. The connection just doesn't have a constant speed. When again I'm the only one testing the connection. But with Mavericks no wifi problems, works perfectly I just of course loose all iOS integration. But I guess handoff and all the other perks cause the wifi issues.

I pay for 20/5 and consistently get 23/5 with 2 macs, iPad Air, and iPhone 6 Plus. Macs have been on Yosemite one whole day and iPad and iPhone run 8.1

My iPhone 6 plus is getting the speed fine. But my MacBook Pro Retina is not. I pay for 20/2. And get 22/3 but with Yosemite I get a wide range of 5 to 15 never reaching what I get with Mavericks. Just wondering what could be causing the fluctuation.

Edit* Ethernet and Bluetooth connections work fine. Wifi is the only issue that spawns from an upgrade to yosemite. Still why could this be. Anyone else running a MacBook Pro Retina 15 Late 2013.

I've had crazy 'public' wifi problems with yosemite since DP1 but with DP8 it got pretty good and with the cGM it's virtually fixed. But my problems have been with public wifi's only. Not with my home wifi.

Give me an example? Same kind of issues in experiencing? Like running speedtest.net or downloading an application... Causes weird speed drops. Like 5 Meg's then 15 then 12 .. And so on.

On 10.10 and every now and again my internet connection will slow down and die, and I have to turn my wifi off and on again to get it to work.

Anyone having this?

I have been experiencing this quite frequently on the latest build. None of my other devices are seeming to have problems like this (iPad Air, iPhone 6, PS4). I am having to turn my wifi on my mac off and on and then it becomes "better."

Exactly. My PC, iPad, iPhone and Xbox are all fine. This D4 messed it up.

im having issues with my wifi too. macbook 2011(8,1) 13in upgraded card

pages wont load. loginto router bandwith page from phone and its through the roof on my macbook.going bothways

wi-fi hardly moving

Since my upgrading to Yosemite I'm experiencing the same issues as many. After reading other blogs way too many people are having the same issues. One of my computers works fine while the other takes 5 minutes to load a page with internet speeds up to 30 Mbps. Shows I'm connected but pages are now taking forever to load. Went to apple website, same complaints with no information or help being offered from apple.:apple:

Ok, so this issue started for me Sunday. Up until then as far as I can tell my MBP late 2009 was connecting to my wireless Comcast router with no problems.

Sunday after church I open up my computer and no connection?? However, my Iphone 5S is connected and my wife's dell is connected no problem.

I decide to change to my Verizon MIFI Jetpack, connects no problem. I then start to search the message boards for similar problems and try several suggested things.

Long story short I change the wifi encryption on the comcast modem to WPA2 and problem solved.
