So I'm trying to install OS9 on a tray loading imac. I intially load 9.1 onto the machine, and all is well. I install Appleworks, reboot, then do the update, reboot abain. Well, it doesn't boot any more. I run diskwarrior. Corrects a few things, no biggie. I reboot the machine , nothing. Still the flashing question mark. So I boot from the disk, zero out the data (again), then reinstall the OS, taking care to reinstall the HD drivers. No luck. Everything in on the hard drive, the system folder is blessed, but I will not boot from the disk any more. Anybody have an idea what's wrong??

Nothing seems out of the ordinary, except that it's not booting. Zap your PRAM (boot holding command option P R and let it chime 4 times) then reset your firmware (boot holding command option O F then type reset nv-ram and hit enter then type reset-all and hit enter again) and try again.

Thanks for the reply. I already tried zapping the pram. I will try the firmware thing in the morning

Well, I zapped the pram, and did the firmware reset. Neither worked.. Any more ideas?
