folks,

I have a mid 2012 Mac Pro with 10.10p2 .... when i enter time machine ... the graphics is all crazy: font size = large and I can only see (black and white) the bottom left hand side of the "normal opening screen" ..... i.e. the word "cancel" everything else is "enlarged" or blown away.

Makes it hard to restore

Has anybody had similar issue(s) and if so, how did you overcome? ....

(or, the feature will be restored in 10.10 DP? ....)

:D

My Time Machines seems fine.
I moved in and through multiple tabs and never experienced anything out of the ordinary.

Backing up from:
2013 iMac in sig below OS X 10.10 (14A261i)

Backing up to:
Time Machine Server on 2012 Mac Mini i7 10.10 (14A261i)
and OS X Server 3.5.1 (14S198d).
WD MyBook 2TB USB 3.0 Drive as TM Storage.

mmomega,

I fail to understand the added value of your entry?

What is your point ?

more like increasing the rate of entropy !:roll eyes:

love democracy especially the constitution part :)

....." Same here, each time I get a distorted tab for each setting I move the tab on the screen and it will be resolved. Must be a graphics glitch in TM tabs in DP2!..."

not really sure what this sentence means, but, tried same said...... not much happened.

Sounds like brain dead code, as Jobs would say.

Now you know one piece of hardware that is not experiencing the problem, so you can narrow it down. Another data point is the 2012 MBA, not experiencing the problem.

So it's most likely graphics driver related, since both the 2012 MBA and 2012 Mac Mini use the Intel HD 4000 graphics chipset.

Report a bug... You're not going to be able to fix it on your own.

After reading your post I am fairly certain if you asked if others were experiencing any similar issues. I'm guessing you didn't want to hear from anyone not having issues.

You posted your computer and build and said you had issues, I posted my computer and build saying I didn't have issues.
This is how someone troubleshoots where problems are.

The more information you give the easier it gets to narrow down a problem.

Thanks AlanShutko,

My first thoughts, also, were drivers for the Intel HD 4000 .... but then I discounted my thoughts .... on the basis .... why just Time Machine ?

There are three related drivers(? - .bundle and .kext) all at version 10.0.43 ....

Latest and greatest ? ... not sure .... trying to verify.

Report bug: FeedBack Assistant fails with "invalid token" ? .....

Not important so I will be patient for next Px (when ever? ....)

Does a 2012 Mac Pro (the OP has) run on Intel HD Graphics 4000 ?

Also, TM under my 2013 MBA and 2012 Mac Mini are not showing any graphical issues.
Both Intel HD 4000.

You report bugs through Apple's bug reporting website. The dev will get back with you soon if they require further information from you or if it is an issues that has already been reported.
I don't even have Feedback Assistant on any installed 10.10 DP2 machines and I have it installed on 5 completely different machines. Now I had it in 10.9.x betas but not on a DP.

Chiming in, I had this same problem on my 2012 MacBook pro with retina display. It seems to be resolved in DP3 but the background is still black, not translucent or whatever the articles were showing when the stars were removed.
