i am going to send this letter to apple for a dock enhancement idea. any thoughts?
after using OS X extensively, i have a suggestion for a new feature for upcoming versions: most application icons in the dock have their own shadows. when an icon bounces (such as when opening an application), it's shadow bounces with it. what would be really cool is if every icon has 2 layers - the actual icon, and then it's custom shadow. when an icon bounces etc, the shadow layer would move in the opposite direction (i mean, if an icon is bouncing UP, the shadow moves DOWN, just like in real life). this feature may seem pointless in the grander scheme of things, but part of what makes OS X so great is this type of visual feedback. this is just a tweak that i think would add to the whole user experience.
Best,
Sergio
