The max you can go is Tiger unless you have a 20incher that has a processrr over 867MHz.
Sure…if you want to follow the rules. :)

Leopard ran just find on my old 400mhz TiBook and IS running just fine on the PowerMac G4/450 AGP sitting right next to me. Both installed courtesy of target disk mode.

Wow, $200 haha no way I'm paying that much... I will keep my eyes out on craigslist & see if any friends have a copy. I'm not comfyorble with eBay, haven't used it before not a fan of PayPal.

Leopard is expensive, but there are some DVDs on Amazon for about $65. Lots of eBay sellers take direct credit card payments (as well as other methods) if you do not want to use PayPal.

Make sure you get the PPC version.

Or find it.

Long ago the way I have seen it done is install the OS on a faster machine, then target disk mode super duper to the slower.

Leopard Disk

Mac of all Trades sometimes has the disks in stock under "Peripherals" for around 60$ the last I checked. I may be wrong on what they sell for now....
