I was curious, now that there are intel macs running Osx with Rossetta. Can I install OSX on my old P3 1ghz laptop?

You technically could with something like Pear, but it's illegal and it won't run very well anyway.

You're confused. OS X is natively running on Intel Macs. Rosetta is there so you can run PPC applications on Intel Macs.

That had nothing to do with running OS X on PC boxes.

Running it on a Windows based laptop... bit of a no go. Its been done with hacks, but it is illegal

Yes it is possible, I made the mistake of linking to a group of Think Pad users who had done it, but the moderators had to remove the link because it is, as a previous poster quite rightly pointed out, illegal.

Technically possible, but illegal.

I also think every time Apple role out a software update it would just cause problems. Overall not worth it.
