OSX Tiger won't install

does anyone have an idea what is the matter here? i have a single proc G4 mirror door machine and i can't install/upgrade to Tiger. i am runnig OSX 10.2.8 currently. please help. thanks

Can you boot from the Disk? Do you have a DVD version and only have a CD-ROM? Do you get an error? Does the install crash?

"OS X Tiger won't install" is very vauge. More info is a must.

i have a dvd version of tiger. but not the retail one. whenever i try to install a message pops up and say "OS can't be installed on this computer" something like that.... i bought the disk off ebay and the seller says it will work wit most G4/G3 machines.... also it says "Ibook G4 Mac OS X install" on the dvd.

The seller misinformed you. That disc will install only on the model it came with.

Well I've got a G4 iBook, with a badly scratched Tiger install dvd. Maybe you should p.m. me.................... (but I'm in the UK if it makes any difference)
