Hey there,
I was hoping to pickup an Apple TV (current model) and use AirPlay to mirror my Mac Mini 2010 (2.4 C2D upgraded to 8GB), but on reading Apples ML spec page, whilst the upgrade to ML will work on the mini 2010, the spec page lists individual apps, specifically AirPlay in my case, that requires a Mac Mini 2011+. I would be using the apple tv's airplay predominantly for non-video streaming, i.e. desktop mirroring for mostly web-browsing, word-processing/document editing (if that's even relevant).
1. Is the lack of AirPlay support because the 2010 isn't the Sandy Bridge?
2. Any chance the 2010 could work, given the upgraded ram and Bananas TV (AirPlay type app) does currently work with my iPad to the Mac Mini 2010?
Cheers
