Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Is updating one way a cleaner install process or does it not make a difference?

Thanks,

Rick

I'm not sure if there is a difference yet. But I am holding out on OTA updating for now and continue to use the wire to iTunes. It works for me and it's no bother either.

I noticed the OTA is about 44mb versus the sync version being the entire OS at 700+ mb.

this is partially what led me to post this. The server keeps timing out on me when I attempt to download to Itunes and sync.

Only if you restore as NEW w/ iTunes would be the cleanest install possible.

Update option in iTunes and OTA are basically the same thing results wise; I would recommend doing the OTA update, easier, faster, less megabytes if you have a cap, no use of backups.

Go OTA... Only restore as NEW if your iOS device is not working properly.
