Does anyone know of any other web browsers for the iPhone (other than Safari, I mean). Not one that requires jailbreaking, but any other kind? I imagine it wouldn't be as full featured as the Safari, but it would be nice to have another choice.

There are none I know of, even for jaikbroken iPhones(but I'm not very up to date there)

I don't know if Apple forbids them through the apps store, how ever I do know one app "Sketches" lets you browse the web, then draw on the web page you stop at. I don't know if this builds upon Safari, or if its all on its own. I do know it looks a good deal different from Safari, but they could have just skinned it.

Edit- NVM, Google search and Jeremy1026 were right, its not allowed. At least according to the how Mozilla is reading it, it isn't quite as clear as "No web browsers other then Safari". I'd guess "sketches" builds upon Safari then.

But didn't 1Password include their own browser to pass password to web forms?

They incorporate web browser functionality in their app, but only through existing safari frameworks. You can't create a stand-alone browser though.

That's just ridiculous. Kind of reminds me of another company that tried to make everyone use their web browser a few years back...

Well, the way I see it you have two options.

1. Stop bitching and use Safari.

~or~

2. Stop bitching and get a Windows Mobile phone.

Except the difference was that the third party company in question (Microsoft) was forcing people to use their browser on their operating system and blocking other company's browsers for use on OTHER manufacturers PCs (Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway, etc.) and that was considered unfair because you had a choice of all of these different manufacturers/ platforms, but were still forced to use this one operating system and this one browser and THAT is a monopoly.

Apple is making you use their browser on their operating system and on THEIR hardware. No unfairness about it. Don't like it, you can choose the vast majority of other platforms for different options.
