Iphone 3g (3.0) Jailbroken

Recently, When i recieve or call anyone the other person cannot hear me at all.
I have tested this by calling myself. I cant really tell if the "speaker mode" works or not. Its kind of confusing calling yourself lol.

Recent apps that i added were Pedometer, iBlacklist, Tethering.....

All kind of other sound are working just fine.

If any, where are the microphone settings located?

No i did not drop it or step on the iphone, i dont do that kind stuff. And frankly ppl who do that are very annoying to me. Once this girl told me how she stepped on her laptop I was like u dumb *^$@&# are u blind. lol.

Anyway mic stoppped working I had this iphone for abt 1 1/2 yrs and treat it like my only child no scratches no nothing i take good care of it.

No the case is not covering the mic.
No i have not tried to Restore it, why wud I go through all the trouble again lol. Unless I really have to. If so, is it safe to jailbreak to the latest firm 3.1.2 i think, any hidden surprises to that, dont wana find out after the jailbreak. Like some firm changed my Baseband in the past I thought the world just stopped spinning or something. lol

------ EDIT-------
Others can hear me if i have the headphone wire attached and speak into the mic in the wire.

It sounds like your internal microphone is damaged. Probably the best solution is to call/send it to Apple.

Mr Milani

I think jailbreak voids the warranty.
Also my iphone is unlocked one using it with Tmobile now.

I dont think i have to tell u about AT&T service and outrageous prices/ plans

Restoring your phone and setting up as new erases all traces of jailbreak. But if your phone is a year and a half old you're out of the warranty period anyway. I would recommend trying a complete restore, setting up as new, and re-jailbreaking. If your microphone still does not work, then it is probably a hardware problem. In that case there is nothing you can do but have it repaired despite the cost or get a new phone. Sorry.

Happened to me once.

Hard reset (holding sleep and home button together for aprox. 20 sec.) helped.

If this isnt working try inserting headphones jack few times quickly, mechanical part can be stucked in there....

Happens to me sometimes when I have been using the headset. It starts working again if I plug in and unplug the headset.
