I got my camera connection kit FINALLY two days ago from FedEx, and I'm very satisfied with it. It's the perfect tool for any photographer, amateur or professional, and any artist as well.
I'm disappointed though, that the USB connector can only get pictures fro the camera. I was expecting that you could connect the camera with the USB connector, shoot pictures, and be able to see them instantly on the iPad. But no, and that's really a shame.
I tried the USB connector with my Touch, and it was recognized as a camera and all that. Then I got thinking, what if I plugged in my Shuffle? And when I did an error message popped up saying that it didn't recognize the device, but I noticed the light on the Shuffle blinking away just as if it were hooked up to my iMac, and it was charging. It was getting hot like it does when it charges, and the iPad was losing battery.
I tried hooking my Touch up to see if it charged, but no luck. I'm charging my iPad fully now to see if that changes anything with the Touch.
I know the Shuffle is a very small device, but I don't think it's an accident that it charges when connected to the iPad. I eagerly await the arrival of OS 4.0...
