I am using macos Catalina 10.15.4 and my Other storage is 140 GB. I don't have many files on my hard drive, maybe 10 GB maximum. Nor do I use Time Machine. It's been disabled since I bought my iMac. I used the terminal code
Code:
 du -sh *
in the home directory I believe it's called (the one that appears when you start the terminal program.

This was the output

Code:

However I see only the Developer which is 132 gigabytes

How do I fix this issue and what is the developer folder about?

This is what's inside the developer folder

Code:
109G CoreSimulator
1.7G XCPGDevices
145M XCTestDevices
21G Xcode

Why is the CoreSimulator using so much space?

This is what's inside the Coresimulator folder

Code:
4.4G Caches
104G Devices
  0B Temp

okay, I solved this problem (mostly) after I went into the Devices folder. I saw there were a bunch of devices registered there. So, I googled and found this website https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34910383/xcode-free-to-clear-devices-folder

which told me to use this command
Code:
 xcrun simctl delete unavailable

This reduced drastically the number of registered devices in that folder. So when I checked again About Mac it shows that I recovered more than 80 GB from other. I will leave this here to help other people with a similar problem
