I got to thinking that while the phone itself is expensive, there are other things that can bump up the cost closer to 2K (CDN). I'll base the prices in USD to make it easier.

Iphone X 64GB - $999
Iphone X 256GB - $1,149
AppleCare+ (if applicable) - $199
Case (if any) - $5-$100
Screen Protector (if any) - $5-50
Wireless charging pad (if any) $30-$100
USB-C power adaptor for fast charging - $49-$79
USB-C to Lightning cable for fast charging - $35-$49

Not sure if I am missing anything else. Luckily i have a 2017 macbook pro with the necessary power brick and found an original USB-C to lightning cable on ebay for $15, so i saved those costs. Also I already have a Qi charger that i bought with my toothbrush a while back. I bought a case and glass screen protector for $60 total, and because of that no applecare.

Is wireless charging and fast charging important enough to most people to drop the extra money? I'm not sure if I would if I had to pay full price. Between my home, car, and office, i have access to a charger almost 24/7 (also have a power bank for emergency).

iPhone X (64GB) & AC+. will decide on a case later if i want and don't need to fall into the gimmick fast charging nor the wireless charging. my iPad brick works fine.

I'd get the iPhone X, Applecare and an Apple leather case in brown. I haven't decided whether I'm going to wake up at 3am to do this yet.

I might get the Folio Apple case, probably a clear case from Amazon as well and the iPhone X with 64GB silver.

I've already bought three different cases, two different screen protectors and a wireless charger. With the iPhone X I will also get Apple Care.

Already have the Airpods & AW3, I don't prefer cases, and don't have a need for the fast charger. All I want is my 256 SG X w/ AC+ & the power mat before 2018.

Quasi-ruggedized case like Otterbox commuter), cheap-o screen protector, cheap-o Qi charge pad.

I’ve got a couple of Qi chargers from Amazon, a silicone case from eBay for when I’m out riding my bike or running (I otherwise go caseless), and of course the main dish: Silver iPhone X 256gb.

Can’t wait to see how tomorrow night/Friday morning unfolds!! I especially can’t wait for 11/03, haha!!

So based on what I'm seeing so far people care about wireless charging but aren't willing to spend on fast charging. Makes sense considering the iPhone X's battery should last you all day, not to mention that people usually charge their devices overnight so they don't care how long it takes as it will be 100% by morning.

on top of that, difference between the ipad charger and the "fast charger" are pretty slim. not worth spending all that money.

phone, case, and screen protection for now, will also look for wireless charging pad, but won't spend a ton of money on one.

Already bought a case, USB-C Lightning Cables (both lengths), and 29W charger. I will add the official Apple case and AppleCare to my X order.

Likely a case and perhaps a wireless charging pad. But I have a 12" MacBook and a USB-C to Lightning so I could use that instead.

Nothing.

The iPhone X is all i want. I got AirPods and I have never used or bought Apple Care don't need it for nothing.

My phones stay in great condition without the need of any bulky cases.

Couldn't care less about wireless charging either.

I'm not want to purchase a lot accessories for my phone. The phone itself is all I need and experience behind it. But the AirPower looks interesting for next year.
