Hey everyone, I wanted to personally get everyones thoughts on a few of the things that I've been thinking about IOS recently to see my future with apple and IOS devices.
So I've been thoroughly impressed with the tablets and mobile devices that samsung has been releasing recently, with the Samsung 10.1in tab and the samsung galaxy S4 as of recent. I love the split screen display they have and I absolutely LOVE how they have been going forward with the S-Pen and the precise handwritten notes on the devices. I hate androids terrible user interface. I was wondering how everyone wanted iPhone and iPad to respond to samsungs recent adaption of "paperless" functionality.
I really like the multi-tasking experience that both products take on, i really like the adoption of the stylus on both devices. I guess essentially my hopes and dreams on IOS 7 and the new introductions of hardware would be this:
1. Apple to put out the "active stylus" that it has applied for patents this year.
(For the iPhone as well as the iPad)
2. The integration of multi-tasking/split screening on the iPad (iPhone potentially)
3. Building on the apple "active stylus" I want apple to develop an application (much like the current notes app) that will integrate the "active stylus" handwritten notes between iPad and iPhone. (On a side note: i would like to use this for handwritten little notes like grocery lists, day planners, class notes, etc.)

Im sorry about how disorganized this post is, I just want to see if my ideas are similar, and on the same path as the rest of my other apple peers or if I'm going to have to make a transition (hopefully not) to another device!
Any help would be great.

I could see Apple developing support for some sort of stylus. At this point it is a major limiting factor for the usefulness of the iPad in the workplace. While inductive styluses work okay, it is not the same as using a real one and would make a huge difference in taking notes, drawing and other work-related tasks on the iPad. I find it less likely that they iPhone would get support if Apple ever does it, but you never know.

As far as split-screen apps, that isn't ever going to happen. That would mean making every app-developer recreate their apps to work in multiple dimensions or else shrinking apps down to a tiny, ineffective size. Its not going to happen. That is perhaps one of the biggest strengths of iOS is that the apps are full screen and make use of all of the tiny screen.

There are only a few instances when you would want split screen anyway, and there are some apps that provide a similar experience to split screen which you can use in those instances.
