So I got a black otterbox for my mini, I actually like it not too bulky for that extra protection for on the go... Now my problem, this screen protector SUCKS! If you have one what are your thoughts?

It has a very strange pattern of circles that in the wrong light is awful.

I've had otterbox defenders for iPhone my hubby currently has one on his 5 and its not like this.

Any thoughts are appreciated

I had a black one on my mini and it was fine. Returned it for a white one and it's fine too. One small area is like what you describe but when it's on I can't notice it.

I did return a Defender for my phone which was fine, but I got from Amazon that was really bad. I returned it without trying to clean it. I'm wondering if you tried cleaning the inside of the screen protector? Maybe there's something still on it when it's released from the mold.

I'll try cleaning it, I only wiped it off.
It's crazy because I only notice it in fluorescent lighting... but two days a week I'm in that type of lighting for 14 hours and it's so frustrating.

This annoyed me to no end. I took off the screen protector installed my own on the iPad mini. It helps.

I don't have my mini anymore though.

I thought about doing that and still may. I actually like the case itself which surprised me.

I tried cleaning it and it helped but it still bugs me. Oh what to do...

I remove the screen protector on all my otterboxes. It seems as they aren't screen protector experts but protective case experts. I removed the plastic protector from my iphone 5 defender case on day one and the defender for my ipad as well. use a quality screen protector in its place.

Always do the same thing as I have found dust and dirt get caught between the Otterbox screen protector and the glass, don't like that so I pop them out and use a standard screen protector. Much better!! However you must really clean the sticky part that is left on the defender so that it does not stick to the screen, not so hard to do.

Very fine dust of baby powder fixes it. U don't even see it. Google it. Used to do it on my ip3

I didn't see the baby powder idea in my search... I decided last night to take the screen protector off. I ended up having to use wd40 to get the damn sticky off one side. but I got all cleaned up and I'm so much happier. I opted to go without a screen protector at all for now, I just like it without one and I still really like the otterbox case.... for now :)

I ended up returning my Otterbox Defender because of this and the fact that it greatly reduced touch sensitivity.

I've never used a screen protector on any of the otterboxes the plastic screen cover is more than enough, I just clean the screen periodically and it always loo like new
