Out of country and purchased applications - what happens when I get home?

Hi all,

I'm in Thailand, have been for the past 2 months and will be for another 3 or 4.

Anyway, I'm a huge nerd and couldn't wait to try out the new firmware + buy a few applications. I did this on a internet cafe computer, installed the Apps to my iPod. Now, I'm no a different computer, in a different city, with a different copy of iTunes, I wanted to install a new application. In iTunes I selected to "check for purchases" (i'm logged into iTunes, though I haven't authorized the computer), but none of the applications that I purchased were downloaded to iTunes. Even the free ones don't show up.

Anyway, I downloaded the application I want (the new one), but I don't want to SYNC my appilcations with this computer because none of my purchased applications show up, so as far as I can tell there is no way to ad the application.

I'm wondering what is going to happen when I get home back to the states - will I have to repurchase the applications, or is there someway of getting them back to iTunes so I can sync/install/etc?

you can download apps you purchased again for free. The menu option in iTunes only downloads purchases that you never downloaded.

I think that this is correct. However, you will not have any sort of backup if you loose your device.

Just be sure that you deauthorize your accounts at each place. Double check.

I spoke with a Rogers Rep (Canada) and she said that the highest bill she had seen was $88,000 !!

I've only spent 15 bucks or so. It'll suck if I loose the device, but I think I'll be significantly more depressed about the iPod!

Also, completely unrelated but I have to tell you I've been eating sushi almost every day here, and it's been amazing. It's no Japan, but there is a ton more cheap sushi here then in the states, at least more then the east coast.
