Has anyone else here experienced out of memory issues on Big Sur (I'm on 11.0.1)?

Using the latest MacBook Air M1 with 16 gigs RAM. I might have hit what I think is a memory leak somewhere. Memory spiked within a short span of 5 minutes. Was using Final Cut Pro X just before this. Was running photos and a few basic apps. Quitting Photos fixed it but as the screenshots show Photos wasn't using a whole lot but the kernel was using 115G!??!!

Not sure if this is related to this being on M1 but I am leaning towards this being a software issue with the OS.

Same issue here. It's probably a memory leak in Photos. I wasn't actually surprised since it's pretty new. I did had this bug twice editing videos while having nothing else open but Safari. I'm using the MacBook Air M1 (7GPU-8GB)

the m1 is for running iOS apps
Thats nonsense.

Anyway, yes, I am having the exact same problem trying to import or export large amount of photos, it just keeps eating memory till the app quits topping out using over 40 gigs of memory. Guessing a memory leak bug. I went back to my Catalina Mac Pro and it imports the same batch with no memory leaks and not even using a gig of memory.
