I have a odd problem. In the Catalina login screen, the island background looks normal (see the first picture) but when I shutdown my iMac the background looks odd in shutdown screen (see the second picture). It looks that the island is out streched in some way. Is this normal?

Between the coasts
The difference is the two views are shot with lenses of different focal lengths - purely a change of photographic perspective.

More interesting to me is that I don't get the wide-angle view on the Mac I'm currently using. Maybe it has to do with having a non-Retina display (27" late 2013 iMac)? I guess I'll check this out on my 27" Retina 5K 2017 iMac when I have the chance.
